Is Noble Fates worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Kingdom-management players who want to direct a population with individual opinions and ambitions
- Strategy fans who want to alternate between overhead orders and controlling a ruler directly
- Simulation players who enjoy stories shaped by character relationships, succession and changing generations
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a narrowly focused action game may find kingdom management and population systems take substantial attention.
- Those who prefer a fixed cast and stable story may not enjoy characters aging, dying and changing the kingdom across generations.
- Players looking for a short, self-contained campaign may find the continuing-world structure less suited to that preference.
Our take on Noble Fates
The game pairs kingdom management with direct control of the ruler, but that breadth means attention is split between population decisions, resource work and combat rather than staying with one activity.
What is Noble Fates?
Noble Fates is a 3D fantasy kingdom management game with RPG elements.
Build, craft, farm, mine and hunt while directing mortals whose alignments, opinions and memories shape their choices. Set beliefs, distribute wealth, recruit visitors, trade for magical items, and manage relationships with neighbors. Command from above or control the ruler in third person, including during hunts and battles. Mortals develop skills and ambitions, age and die, while a new ruler can inherit a changing kingdom. Defend against threats such as Demonic Carbuncles, which open a challenge with waves of demons and scaling rewards. After a kingdom falls, ascend to continue in the same world. The game also supports mods through the Steam Workshop.
