Our take on The Chant
The bounce point arrives when combat requires more than attacking: panic, physical danger, spiritual abilities, crafted resources, and the choice to flee all compete for attention during encounters.
What is The Chant?
The Chant is a single-player, third-person horror action-adventure set on a remote spiritual retreat.
After a group ritual opens The Gloom, a psychedelic dimension that feeds on negative energy, players explore the island, meet retreat members, and investigate its history and a 1970s cult. Survival combines close combat, resource collection, crafting, spiritual weapons, and supernatural abilities. Players can choose when to fight, flee from threats, or manage panic during encounters with creatures and cultists. Progress also involves balancing mental resilience, physical protection, and spiritual elevation through meditation. The game presents colored lighting, cosmic horror, and an electronic rock soundtrack while following Jess and the other retreat survivors.
