ActionIs Master Spy worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Precision-platformer fans who want stealth mechanics and reflex challenges
- Players seeking an espionage story with hidden levels and branching content
- Players who want selectable modes ranging from checkpoint-supported training to reduced-pressure narrative play
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want relaxed platforming may hit a wall at the game's precision-focused jumps, stealth sections, and enemy obstacles.
- Players seeking broad exploration or extended character progression may find the level-based structure too narrow.
- Players who prefer unlimited visibility may struggle once Blind Master mode's restricted view is in effect.
Our take on Master Spy
Players who rely on generous error margins will likely bounce off the precision-platforming sections, where enemy placement, obstacles, and limited visibility demand repeated attempts. The wall arrives most sharply in Blind Master mode, which removes much of the visual information used to plan movement.
What is Master Spy?
Master Spy is a precision platformer about moving through enemy-filled environments with jumps, stealth, and a prototype cloaking suit.
More than 50 levels span settings such as electro factories and ninja command centers. Pixel-art cutscenes present a conspiracy story, while hidden secret levels can alter its direction. Players can choose Narrative, Novice, or Operative modes from the pause menu. Novice mode adds checkpoints, Narrative mode removes the pressure of being caught, and Blind Master mode limits visibility after it is unlocked. A level-select cheat code provides access to individual stages and cutscenes. The game includes an original soundtrack by André Allen Anjos, known as RAC.
