We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- VR photography-game players who prefer staged objectives over combat
- Players seeking a character-photo collection rather than a puzzle game
- Players who enjoy unlocking costume changes through level completion
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking combat, survival systems, or a broad set of gameplay mechanics may find the photo-mission loop narrow.
- Players who want open-ended photography may hit the game's fixed four-mission-per-stage progression.
- Players without a VR setup are not the intended audience for this VR game.
Our take on LiveOnIdol
Players who want open-ended photography may bounce when they encounter the fixed objective structure: four designated images must be collected to advance. Later, the costume options are tied to clearing levels, so players seeking free selection from the start may hit another limit.
What is LiveOnIdol?
LiveOnIdol is a VR photography game in which the player uses a controller as a camera and moves with the other controller to photograph Jenny in different locations and costumes.
Each stage has four missions to capture designated good photos. Collecting all four lets the player advance to the next mission, and clearing the missions moves the player to the next stage. The game has four stages, from Level 1 through Level 4, with costumes assigned as challenges; clearing a level makes a costume change available. The camera can zoom closer as levels progress. Collected images can be viewed in the main lobby and are saved in the game folder for later viewing.
