Our take on Laser Party
Players who prefer fixed teams may hit a wall when the final-two scoring rule rewards both survivors. Those expecting a purely cooperative match may also bounce off the point system, which supports temporary alliances and attacks on the strongest player.
What is Laser Party?
Laser Party is a local or online party game for 1 to 4 players, built around combining lasers to damage ships, missiles, bosses, and other players.
Matches include player-versus-environment and player-versus-player elements across 80 levels. When only two players remain, both receive a basic point, allowing temporary cooperation or a deliberate suicide attack against a stronger opponent. Players can also practice alone with AI-controlled opponents, while others may join during play. A cyber-Cthulhu-inspired boss uses procedural animation. Scores increase through combat and chapter progression, with later chapters applying higher factors; results also contribute to a global leaderboard. Voice chat is enabled by default, and a replay system records notable moments.
