RPGIs Landless worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Survival-game players who want to build floating bases rather than settle on land
- Exploration fans interested in underwater wrecks, ruins, and ocean locations
- Players who enjoy assembling and testing physics-based boats
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a tightly guided campaign may find the sandbox structure too open-ended.
- Players who dislike trial and error may hit a wall while testing boat component placement and physics.
- Players seeking finished content may be put off by the game's early-access status and the possibility of bugs or incomplete content.
Our take on Landless
Boat building is the clearest sticking point for players who want predictable construction: component placement must be tested because the boats use physics. Those looking for a finished experience may also bounce off the early-access state, which the vendor says can include bugs and incomplete content.
What is Landless?
Landless is a sandbox survival game set across a post-apocalyptic ocean.
Players build floating bases and forts, craft and salvage materials, and defend against hostile environments and pirates. Exploration includes container ships, islands, underwater shipwrecks and ruins, with opportunities to dive, mine scrap, fish, hunt, and gather timber. Radio contracts, trading with traveling merchants and settlers, and towing trade barges provide additional activities. Players can research blueprints, raid enemy bases, and set up defenses such as buoys equipped with turrets or sonar. Boat construction uses a pontoon, engine, generator, fuel tank, and helm; placing components requires testing because boats use physics. The game is in early access, with the vendor noting that bugs and incomplete content may occur.
