Our take on KOTH
The defining mechanic is physical evasion: in VR, players climb while standing and ducking behind scenery to avoid the KOTH’s radar beam.
What is KOTH?
KOTH is an action title set in strange worlds generated by computers.
Players ascend each level, confront the ruler known as KOTH, and stay clear of its lethal radar sweep. Cover from the beam by crouching behind objects; taking in a tree triggers a popping sound. Drawing on an 8-bit classic, the game adapts the concept for virtual reality and works with HTC VIVE and other VR equipment. A conventional computer mode offers keyboard-and-mouse input. Virtual-reality sessions are meant to be played while standing and crouching, with a motion-tracked controller required. The game contains no textures, uses manually made models, and features original in-game music.
