- Players who prefer keyboard-and-mouse controls may not want a game that recommends a controller
Our take on Meow Legion
The game concentrates on cat recruitment, wave combat, and card upgrades, giving up the broader base-building and army-management systems found in larger strategy games. Its repeated runs and defeat-based progression keep the structure focused on combat growth.
What is Meow Legion?
Meow Legion is a top-down roguelite shooter about hiring cats and defending against waves of mice from the Mousy Empire.
Shooting uses the left mouse button or controller trigger, while the recall command lets cats defend independently and collect items. The game includes 10 cat types. Each run can use meow cards that grant different attribute bonuses to cats, with each cat limited to one card per battle. Losing grants a random card, providing progression between attempts. Cat cards have three upgrade levels, and merging cards raises their level and the attribute bonuses they provide. A controller is recommended for play.
