Our take on Kommissar
The defining structure is repeated political investigation: each game changes the citizens’ motivations and social circumstances, while interrogation decisions, alliances, and loyalties shape the resulting story.
What is Kommissar?
Kommissar is a political prosecution simulator set in the totalitarian Independent City-State of Roulettenburg.
Players act as a regime commissar leading the Ministry of Truth, directing agents, suppressing insurgents in different districts, investigating citizens, and capturing suspected dissidents. Interrogations require choices between leniency and harsher treatment, with consequences for later events. Each game presents a different social setting and citizen motivations. Storylines include moral dilemmas, alliances, loyalties, and multiple possible outcomes shaped by player decisions. The role also includes following party orders while manipulating events in pursuit of personal interests.
