Our take on JudgeSim
The defining structure is judicial decision-making under pressure: each case combines evidence review, questioning, verdicts and punishment, while corruption, threats and personal responsibilities complicate the judge's choices.
What is JudgeSim?
JudgeSim is a 2D, text-based simulation set in Banana Republic, where corruption, economic crisis and crime shape judicial work.
Players read cases, inspect evidence, question accused people, determine guilt, and assign punishments under the law. Evidence becomes harder to access as cases grow more difficult, while decisions influence the ending. Side cases cover divorce, custody, inheritance and compensation, presenting contradictions and moral dilemmas. The game also includes personal management: controlling expenses, caring for family and maintaining mental health. Bribes and threats create additional pressure as the judge attempts to work within a corrupt society. The setting includes both criminal proceedings and civil disputes, with choices affecting professional decisions and the broader story.
