Our take on Beholder 3
The premise foregrounds espionage, political factions, and moral choices, but the landlord role is also central. Paying bills, repairing apartments, and managing tenants form part of the same play cycle as surveillance and Ministry assignments.
What is Beholder 3?
Play as Frank Schwarz, a former Ministry employee whose office career ended after someone set him up.
To avoid prison, he makes a deal with a high-ranking security officer and works undercover as a landlord. His assignments include entering tenants’ apartments, searching for contraband, and eliminating people targeted by his superior. At the Ministry, Frank spies on colleagues and superiors while political factions compete for control. Ministry quests involve promoting the state ideology, manipulating flags, and distributing propaganda. He must also maintain his cover through ordinary landlord duties, including paying bills, repairing apartments, and keeping tenants satisfied. Choices concern faction allegiance, political change, the status quo, and whom Frank is willing to sacrifice.
