Our take on Security 51
The defining tension comes from routine credential checks becoming unreliable as apparently ordinary staff may be infiltrators, anomalies, or something no longer human.
What is Security 51?
Work as a security officer in an underground Area 51 facility whose elevator reaches unknown depths.
Inspect staff documents, compare names, roles, clearance levels, and times, and check that entry and exit counts match. Suspicious cases can be quarantined, investigated, or subjected to identity checks such as blood testing. The job becomes less certain as anomalies, possible infiltrators, and non-human entities appear. Decisions may produce immediate effects or consequences several shifts later. Allowing the wrong person to leave can spread an infection beyond the facility, while other operations focus on isolating employees and containing emerging threats.
How Security 51 plays
- 01Credential Screening
- Review each person's identity, job position, access level, and timing before deciding whether to admit them.
- 02Identity Testing
- Additional verification methods, including blood analysis, become available as experience grows.
- 03Threat Quarantine
- Suspicious employees can be isolated while anomalies and possible infiltrators are investigated.
- 04Delayed Consequences
- Some decisions affect events immediately, while others produce results after several work shifts.
