Our take on KANADE
Rather than treating a world-ending threat as the center of an action structure, KANADE places romance and songwriting at the heart of its premise. Its central crisis is approached through the relationship between a boy and a half-alien girl, with music serving as the proposed means of salvation.
What is KANADE?
KANADE is a visual novel about Yuuto and Kanade, two former pen pals who begin a first romance in a near-future city overtaken by plants.
Kanade is half human and half alien, loves singing, and intends to save the world through a song meant to replace her absent alien mother’s role. After arriving at Yuuto’s home, she asks him to fall in love with her. The story follows their tentative relationship as affection develops around them and the world approaches its demise. The game features character art by Yusano, voice work and an opening song by Yuko Natsuyoshi, music by Fuminori Matsumoto, and support for 1920x1080 resolution.
