Our take on Is the President a Traitor?
The bounce point arrives when surveillance and evidence management become the main loop. Players expecting combat, broad empire construction, or a conventional political sandbox may lose interest once progress depends on dossiers, warrants, prosecutions, and a tightening deadline.
What is Is the President a Traitor??
Manage an intelligence investigation targeting a president’s aides, advisers, and donors.
Begin with limited funds, then monitor subjects, intercept communications, arrange honey traps, develop dossiers, pursue leads, and obtain search warrants. Generated allies, enemies, and intermediaries create different conspiracies in each game. Evidence gathered during the investigation supports prosecutions and the removal of people from positions of power. The campaign is governed by resources and a deadline: removing members of the administration must happen before all three branches of government fail. The final objective is removing the president. The game draws crimes from historical American presidential indictments, convictions, and pardons, including Teapot Dome, Watergate, and Iran-Contra.
