Our take on IRON GUARD
The game moves tower defense into a 360-degree VR space instead of keeping players at a detached map view. Defensive construction, resource gathering, and arcade shooting happen together as the player protects a crew on an alien planet.
What is IRON GUARD?
IRON GUARD is a science-fiction, room-scale VR tower defense game set on the planet Akris in 2232.
As first officer Graves, players protect surviving crew members from rogue terraformer robots while collecting resources and investigating the machines’ rebellion. Gameplay combines defensive construction with direct combat. Players erect upgradeable turrets, path blockers, and mining harvesters, then support them with an engineering drone using conventional or super weapons. Equipment upgrades can follow non-linear paths between missions. The game includes different modes and play styles, with battles across stylized environments and several planetary biomes. Cutscenes and dialogue reveal the story as the crew attempts to evacuate the alien planet.
