Our take on Iron Crypticle
Rather than following a fixed dungeon route, the game rearranges its branching rooms between playthroughs. It also ties character upgrades to chains of collected food, adding an item-collection loop to its arcade twin-stick shooting.
What is Iron Crypticle?
Iron Crypticle is a medieval dungeon game built around two-stick shooting, with RPG-style elements and solo or local co-op for up to four players.
The Kingsguard venture into magical underground chambers to save Cryptonia’s princess and retrieve the kingdom’s food-shaped treasures. Floors consist of branching rooms, with layouts that shift between runs and different room types offering distinct advantages and drawbacks. Defeated enemies often leave food pickups; collecting them in chains raises speed, damage, firing rate, and weapon duration, while shops sell upgrades.
Weapons, magical scrolls, and other items can be unlocked. A dash offers a quick escape, and the Atomic Fist can strike through groups of enemies. Each floor ends with a Guardian Monster, and an arcade room offers coins and health.
