Our take on INTERSTELLAR ROGUE
The broad mix of flying, mining, exploration, equipment management, and ground combat gives the game variety, but it also divides attention between several systems. Players focused on one tightly defined combat style may find the range of activities less concentrated.
What is INTERSTELLAR ROGUE?
Pilot a ship on a mission to destroy the robot mainframe after making 21 jumps.
The game combines space travel, planetary landings, ground combat, mining, and exploration of randomly generated derelicts. Ships range from small strike craft to dreadnoughts, with more than 47 available to unlock. More than 40 turret types provide randomly generated equipment, while looted systems and weapons can be fitted to each vessel. Rogue, Endless, and mission modes use procedural generation. Players can navigate asteroid storms, hide in nebulae, follow comets, mine asteroids for fuel and water, fight robots on the ground, and collect unusual items, including generated newspaper stories and DVDs.
