Our take on Impious Pumpkins
Players who want to direct every attack may hit a wall after placing units, when combat shifts to watching the battle unfold. Those expecting a large roster may also bounce off the starting choice of four unit types, even with skill-tree modifications.
What is Impious Pumpkins?
Impious Pumpkins is a real-time tactics game about defending sacred places from hordes of evil pumpkins.
Command four ghost unit types: melee warriors, slingshot rangers, mages and healers. Place units on the battlefield and watch the battle unfold. Each unit has a skill-tree branch that can change its abilities and stats, such as giving warriors a chance to strike with lightning or allowing rangers to throw poison stones. Five scenarios include a Graveyard, Haunted Mansion, Alley, Egyptian Tomb and Corn Field, each with its own layout and soundtrack. Enemy types and spawn locations are randomized, including elite pumpkins with special powers. After completing the core game, Endurance Mode pits the ghostly army against endless pumpkin hordes.
