Its defining structure is the shift between two scales: defenses are arranged while viewing the campaign from above, then the player shrinks onto the battlefield to use archery against the incoming horde.
What is Uphold The Realm?
Uphold The Realm is a VR tower defense game built around a campaign map for selecting levels and managing towers.
Players can build four tower types, each with three upgrade levels, and use a talent system to shape their strategy. The game shifts between overseeing defenses from above and shrinking down to the battlefield to use archery against incoming land and flying monsters. It supports multiplayer for up to four players, multiple difficulty settings, rankings, leaderboards, and modding tools. The tools can change monster and tower statistics, levels, and waves. Movement options include smooth locomotion and teleportation. The first campaign has 7 available maps out of 13, and 10 of 20 monster types are implemented.
