Our take on Imperi
The defining structure is a seasonal management cycle with three turns per season, where resource decisions and probabilistic outcomes guide a settlement’s rise from a small outpost to a province.
What is Imperi?
Imperi is a text-based management strategy game about developing a settlement into a province.
The player begins as a sergeant with 10 troops, 25 civilians, 100 gold, 100 grain, and 5 square miles of land. Growth brings promotions through the Imperi, with kingship awarded after reaching provincial status. Decisions use a point-and-click interface and proceed in seasonal rounds, with three turns per season. Outcomes combine probability with the current year’s season. An AI system adjusts the effects of grain shortages during famine. The game focuses on resource management, political advancement, and attention to detail rather than reflexes or cheat codes. It also includes 20 achievements.
