Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a narrowly focused campaign may find the mix of family development, island conflict, exploration, and occupations broad in scope.
- Players who want a fixed map may bounce when a new run generates a different world and changes the nearby threats and resources.
- Players looking for a puzzle game may not find the family-building and island-management focus they want.
Our take on Immortal Family
The likely sticking point is the restart loop: each new run reshuffles the island map and its nearby threats and resources. Players who want to learn one fixed world may hit that wall when starting over changes the strategic landscape.
What is Immortal Family?
Play as a family founder in a cultivation-themed world of islands ruled by families and sects.
Establish a base on an island, expand the family, and compete with other groups for territory. The family can fight sea monsters, explore the deep sea and hidden realms, and pursue activities such as alchemy, crafting weapons and talismans, raising spirit beasts, farming, and mining. Choose an inherited bloodline when founding the family, and set names for 18 generations of descendants. Characters have relationships including parents, partners, disciples, mentors, friends, sects, and family ties. The world map is generated anew when starting over, with island surroundings that may contain monster lairs, rival sects, rare mineral deposits, or resource-rich hidden realms.
