StrategyIs Hyper Knights: Battles worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy building units through art, animation, and custom behavior
- Tinkerers who want to script unusual combat abilities
- Battle sandbox fans who want to watch user-created teams fight
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a conventional campaign, mission structure, or character progression may hit a wall at the unit-creation and battle-watching format.
- Players who do not want to draw sprites, create animations, or write unit AI may stop at the custom-unit workflow.
- Players looking for a historical, turn-based, or large-scale empire strategy game may find the scope too focused on individual unit behavior.
Our take on Hyper Knights: Battles
The bounce point arrives at unit construction: the core loop asks for drawn sprites, animations, and written AI before the custom battle can take shape. Players looking for ready-made tactical encounters may find that creative setup work occupies the main entry point.
What is Hyper Knights: Battles?
Create combat units by drawing their sprites, making animations, and writing their artificial intelligence.
Set up matchups between groups such as Spartans and Persians, Ogres and Chickens, or Marines and Archers, then watch the units fight. Custom designs can include unusual abilities, such as teleportation, stunning, pushing and pulling enemies, lightning attacks, or fighting large groups alone. The game includes 11 built-in unit types: Minion, Shielder, Archer, Chuck Boris, Space Ninja, Spartan, Persian, Ogre, Chicken, Marine, and Zombie. Units can be shared through the Workshop, where other creations are also available.
