Play it if you…
Good fit- Small groups seeking cooperative horror with shared objectives
- Players who enjoy searching large interiors while managing specialized equipment
- Horror fans who want escalating threats, traps, and creature encounters
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking relaxed exploration may hit a wall when stamina limits escape attempts and the demon grows more aggressive.
- Players wanting compact or highly guided levels may struggle with multi-room buildings and the need to remember the exit route.
- Players who want a purely solo experience may not fit a game built around cooperation for 1–4 players.
Our take on Hellcoming
The bounce point arrives when a cleanup run becomes navigation under pressure: stamina limits retreat, traps punish careless movement, and the demon grows faster and angrier. Players who lose track of the exit or expect unlimited tool capacity may hit that wall before reaching the artifact.
What is Hellcoming?
Hellcoming is a cooperative horror survival game for 1–4 players.
Players go through a portal to locate a demon’s shelter, where a hellish altar holds an artifact connected to the demon’s world. Runes protect the artifact, and each rune corresponds to a type of hellish abomination. Players must clean unnatural contamination and kill hell creatures to destroy the runes, then destroy the artifact. Specialized tools handle liquids, dirt, insects, creatures, fire, detection, healing, and cleanup tracking. Stamina limits running, while large multi-room buildings, traps, and increasing demon speed and rage add pressure during each attempt.
