Our take on Hate Plus
Rather than treating a derelict ship as a setting for action or survival systems, the game turns its abandoned records and social history into the central investigation. Its AI companion and thematic focus replace conventional combat-driven progression with a slow examination of political decline.
What is Hate Plus?
Hate Plus is a dark visual novel set aboard a derelict generation ship.
Over three real-time days, the player investigates what caused the ship’s society to deteriorate while recovering its remaining data. An AI companion joins the investigation, bringing her own history and trauma to the unfolding mystery. The story addresses transhumanism, cosplay, cake-baking, patriarchal control, and the erosion of civil freedoms. It continues the setting of Analogue: A Hate Story while presenting a separate story. Players with completed Analogue save files can continue from that point, while new players can begin directly with Hate Plus.
