Our take on harmony
The defining constraint is that a turn can use two moves of the player’s color or one move of the opponent’s color, making control of both colors part of the board play.
What is harmony?
Harmony is a digital strategy board game for matches against friends or a computer opponent.
Players try to arrange four pieces in an alternating sequence based on either their faces or their colors. The sequence must follow a vertical path or lie along one of the board’s three outside circular tracks. On a track, the pieces may occupy neighboring positions in an arc or sit at quarter-turn intervals around the circle.
During a turn, a player may perform two actions with pieces of their own color, or one action involving the other color. Actions include adding, relocating, or turning over a piece. A piece may move any distance along a single direction, provided its path is clear; pieces cannot be taken off the board.
How harmony plays
- 01Alternating patterns
- A winning arrangement uses four pieces alternating by face or color, on a vertical line or in specified positions around an outer ring.
- 02Two move options
- A turn permits two moves with the player’s color or one with the opponent’s color.
- 03Piece manipulation
- Moves include placing, shifting, or flipping pieces; they cannot pass through other pieces or be removed.
- 04Computer opponent
- The game can be played against the computer as well as against friends.
