Our take on Harlow
The bounce point arrives when movement becomes the main challenge: players who prefer direct, highly predictable platforming may hit a wall while managing Harlow’s physics-based jumps, rolls, and evasive actions around environmental hazards.
What is Harlow?
Harlow is a 2D platformer about two robots trying to prepare a surprise celebration for colonists stranded in cryogenic sleep.
Control the robot Harlow across an ancient planet, using physics-based movement to jump, roll, and avoid hazards such as acid waters, old machinery, and lavafalls. Exploration supports gathering supplies for the party aboard the R1-Humanity, a ship that must be decorated with 3D-printed items. The ship’s transformation affects which ending is unlocked. The game combines platforming, environmental hazards, material collection, and party preparation within a science-fiction setting.
How Harlow plays
- 01Physics-based movement
- Harlow uses jumping, rolling, and evasive movement to cross hazardous areas.
- 02Planetary hazards
- Traversal includes acid-filled waters, ancient machines, and streams of lava.
- 03Party preparation
- Collected materials can be used to create printed decorations for the spacecraft.
- 04Multiple endings
- Changes made to the ship determine different possible conclusions.
