Our take on Gubble
Instead of making combat the central action-game activity, Gubble turns tool choice and fastener removal into the main challenge. Real-time maze movement remains important, but the standard defeat-enemies structure is replaced by an escape task built around puzzle solving.
What is Gubble?
This 3D action-puzzle maze game follows Gubble D Gleep through 150 puzzle-filled levels.
In most stages, progression requires clearing screws, nails, bolts, and other fasteners, with a particular tool assigned to each type. Strange enemies move through the mazes, combining real-time navigation with puzzle solving. The gameplay is non-violent. Originally published for PC in 1996, the game received a 2007 remaster with HD graphics and additional difficulty settings. An updated release brought it to Steam in 2020. Seppo (Zep) Hurme composed and performed the soundtrack.
