Our take on Ballistic Zen
Its focus on traversal and route-finding leaves combat and other activity types outside the described design. Players looking for varied mission structures or a large cast may find the experience narrow.
What is Ballistic Zen?
Ballistic Zen is a first-person open-world platformer built around air-strafing movement and hoverblades.
Players skate, strafe and wallrun through 5 distinct areas, searching for collectables and following lines. The game includes 50+ collectables and 20+ lines. Finding collectables and following routes earns respect from peers; that respect unlocks locations and reveals backstories from 5 NPCs. Movement is simple to start learning but difficult to master, and play can be controlled with one hand using a mouse. Players can also share custom lines with others through Discord.
