Our take on Grit and Valor - 1949
This tactics roguelite replaces a fixed battle sequence with changing terrain, opponents, and rewards between runs. It also makes the command vehicle the mission's failure point, while each region ends with a boss encounter rather than a routine battle.
What is Grit and Valor - 1949?
This dieselpunk real-time tactics roguelite takes place in an alternate 1949, where Axis mechs occupy Europe and the Resistance seeks to deliver an EMP weapon into enemy territory.
Command a mech squad in real time while defending a command vehicle from enemy waves. Battlefields combine different terrain and opponents, creating opportunities to use higher ground, cover, enemy weaknesses, and other tactical advantages. Each region concludes with a boss encounter involving elite forces, hazards, and a large mech.
If the command vehicle is destroyed, the mission ends. Scrap and Valor collected during a run can be spent at the Resistance Base to upgrade mechs and improve pilot abilities before redeployment. Battlefields, enemies, and rewards change between runs, while the campaign's objective remains the liberation of Europe.
