Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a slow, low-pressure pace may find the day-and-night work cycle demanding.
- Those looking for broad control over worker tasks may find human labor limited mainly to carrying resources.
- Players who want a character-focused role-playing campaign may prefer a game centered on character progression.
Our take on Freaking Meatbags
The worker system adds genetic experimentation, but human labor remains narrow: workers mainly carry resources, and their willingness to follow orders can drop when they are tired or bored. The base and defense systems therefore carry much of the workload.
What is Freaking Meatbags?
Play as a cleaning robot sent to collect materials from planets before the solar system is destroyed.
Each mission divides into daytime work and nighttime defense: gather resources, construct and maintain a base, then fight attacking robots after dark. Humans can carry supplies, while combining DNA from different species creates hybrids with special abilities. Keep workers motivated with alien biotechnology, and use structures and technology to manage the base and repel enemies. The game includes 15 structures to build and upgrade, nine pieces of technology, eight enemy types, and three boss robots. It also features multiple planetary environments, four alien species, and a hidden zombie planet.
