Our take on FOX n FORESTS
Season switching is the defining mechanic: the crossbow changes seasons during play, making the same forest areas serve as shifting routes, combat spaces, and puzzle environments.
What is FOX n FORESTS?
FOX n FORESTS follows Rick, a fox investigating the secret behind a mysterious fifth season.
This retro-styled adventure mixes platforming, combat, puzzles, exploration, and RPG elements. Rick can move among five seasons while exploring new regions, avoiding or confronting foes, and finding concealed secrets. His enchanted crossbow supports both distance attacks and close-range strikes, and also lets him slide and alter the season. Progress involves gathering valuable loot, overcoming platforming trials, working through puzzles, and battling bosses that occupy much of the screen. Pixel-based artwork and a chiptune score create a 16-bit-inspired presentation as Rick works to restore justice to the woodland and its inhabitants.
