We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…

- Players seeking a short campaign with turn-by-turn battlefield commands
- Testers interested in joining an active multiplayer beta through Discord
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a long completed campaign may find roughly 3–4 hours across 3 of 6 chapters too limited
- Players who prefer reactive, one-side-at-a-time combat may dislike resolving allied and enemy actions together
- Players looking for a fully finished multiplayer experience may not suit the current beta stage
Our take on FLAMBERGE
The simultaneous-turn structure creates a clear trade-off: plans must anticipate enemy movement before execution, leaving less room to respond after actions begin. The short current campaign also limits the amount of time available to explore the system.
What is FLAMBERGE?
FLAMBERGE is a tactics role-playing game built around simultaneous turns and free movement.
Players assign movement, attacks, class abilities, and item use to a group of heroes before starting each turn. Once execution begins, allied and opposing units act concurrently, requiring plans that account for likely enemy actions. The campaign follows varied heroes defending their homeland against an invading force. The available content covers about 3–4 hours across 3 of 6 planned chapters. A multiplayer beta is currently available through the game's Discord community, which also hosts testing access and tracks in-game issues, feedback, and proposed improvements.
