Is Finders worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Casual strategy players who want resource management within an adventure campaign
- Simulation fans who prefer managing workers rather than controlling a single hero
- Players who enjoy level-based challenges involving time and resource decisions
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking deep combat systems or direct hero control may find the worker-management structure limited
- Players wanting an open-ended simulation may find the level-based progression restrictive
- Players looking for a game centered on studio management, as in Mad Games Tycoon, may prefer a different structure
Our take on Finders
The rescue narrative receives the strongest emphasis, but the playable structure centers on worker management, gathering, housing, mining, time limits, and machine construction. The adventure framing may therefore understate how much of the game involves balancing practical expedition resources.
What is Finders?
Finders follows a group of workers crossing a dangerous wilderness to locate Altair, a hero imprisoned by a villain.
Players use clues from an ancient artifact to guide the expedition across successive levels. Survival depends on collecting food and water, providing housing, and extracting gold from underground tunnels. Time and resources must be balanced while workers progress through each area. The game also includes the creation of machines for specialized tasks, an encounter with a Yeti, and preparation for a final confrontation with the enemy. Its store tags classify it as Casual, Simulation, and Strategy.
How Finders plays
- 01Wilderness Expedition
- Workers travel through successive areas while following clues from an ancient artifact.
- 02Resource Management
- Each level requires food, water, housing, and mined gold to sustain the expedition.
- 03Task Machines
- Players create mechanical devices for specialized jobs during the journey.
Finders compared to similar games
Finders combines wilderness progression with worker housing, gathering, mining, and task-machine construction. Mad Games Tycoon instead focuses on building a game studio, developing titles, researching technology, training staff, and upgrading offices, while Creeper World 4 centers on real-time defense against fluid-like enemy waves with energy and mined wares.
