Is Fest Guests worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Solo players who want open-world alien combat across an urban environment
- Action players who enjoy using city objects during fights
- Explorers who want to investigate interiors beyond the roughly 5-hour main playthrough
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a long campaign may reach the ending after the stated 5-hour main playthrough
- Players who prefer tightly directed levels may find the large city and many interactive locations too open-ended
- Players looking for shelter construction and crafting may not find those systems in this city-focused alien survival game
Our take on Fest Guests
The bounce point arrives when the initial weapon progression gives way to a city-sized combat space. Players who want tightly directed missions may lose momentum among interiors, objects, hiding places, and optional exploration after the roughly 5-hour core run.
What is Fest Guests?
Fest Guests is an open-world survival game about defending a hometown after aliens abduct its residents.
Combat begins with simple weapons and later introduces alien technology. The city forms the battlefield, with streets, shops, restaurants, offices, apartments, subway areas, and a robot-driven bus. Interiors contain thousands of objects that can be operated, picked up, eaten, or thrown with a mouse click. The game starts with the player being hunted by aliens and progresses toward chasing them through the city. The main playthrough takes about 5 hours, while exploring the city can extend the time spent in the game.
