Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a realistic courtroom or legal simulation may find the judicial work deliberately fictionalized.
- Players who prefer straightforward plots may find the nonlinear structure, multiple endings, and theorizing demanding.
- Players looking for action-focused gameplay may find the point-and-click, quest, and text-adventure format too reading-heavy.
- Players seeking a lighthearted setting may not enjoy the dystopian world, dark humor, disturbing events, and bleak themes.
Our take on Femida
The judicial premise receives prominent billing, but the game explicitly treats courtroom work as a fictionalized activity rather than a realistic simulation. The experience also divides its focus between that role and a separate investigation, family correspondence, relationships, and text-led storytelling.
What is Femida?
Femida combines fictionalized judicial work with a personal investigation.
As Judge Demian Mardoch, players make decisions in a recently transformed dystopian State while searching for the father who vanished during its revolution. The game uses a nonlinear point-and-click structure with quest and text-adventure elements, moral dilemmas, newspapers offering different viewpoints, family letters, rotary-dial phone calls, and a dating subplot. Choices shape the story, with four to seven possible endings depending on how they are counted, including one good ending that is difficult to reach. The setting includes dark humor, surreal and disturbing moments, political themes, and a protagonist whose personality affects how events are perceived.
