Our take on Scribe
The correspondence-based design gives up direct control over events. The scribe acts through letters and recipient choices, so influence depends on social relationships and the reactions of the Baron and Bishop rather than physical intervention.
What is Scribe?
Serve as a clerk at an aristocratic household overseen by a Baron and a Bishop.
Read the day’s incoming messages to discover news from outside, then compose correspondence and redirect it when appropriate. Your decisions can settle conflicts, alter domestic schemes, and decide which people survive. Keep both superiors’ opinions under watch, because provoking either one may end your life early. Your mental condition also records the strain of seeing deaths and families fall apart. The game centers on indirect control, written communication, relationships, and the effects of choices made within the estate.
