Our take on Fated Land
The defining structure is a semi-turn-based battle system that combines deliberate team planning with optional automatic fighting after preparations are complete.
What is Fated Land?
Lead a team across a fantasy continent where humans and elves confront adaptable Xenomorphs.
Battles use a semi-turn-based structure: assess enemies and terrain, exploit weaknesses, equip teammates, assign professions, and adjust plans as conditions change. Once preparations are complete, combat can be automated. Teammates generated through roguelike systems receive randomized skills, attributes, and talents, shaping development choices based on available materials. The game includes character growth, skill training, equipment crafting, team composition, free exploration, puzzles, hidden objects, and resource collection. Resources can be used to build and improve a territory as the team expands. Characters encountered during the journey may become allies or partners.
How Fated Land plays
- 01Semi-turn battles
- Combat planning accounts for enemy traits, battlefield conditions, terrain elevation, and obstacles before actions are resolved.
- 02Randomized teammates
- Roguelike-generated companions receive differing skills, attributes, and talents that influence their development.
- 03Territory development
- Collected resources fund construction and improvements to a territory as the team grows.
- 04Free exploration
- The team can move through the world while searching for puzzles, concealed objects, and resources.
- 05Equipment crafting
- Materials support the creation of equipment and the cultivation of characters.
