Our take on Fabled Lands
Its broad freedom comes with less directed pacing: players choose objectives, routes, and affiliations rather than following one fixed campaign. Ironman mode adds a sharper cost to experimentation, since irreversible choices and character death can end a run.
What is Fabled Lands?
Fabled Lands is a single-player narrative RPG set in a large, open world.
Players choose a character path such as warrior, mage, rogue, priest, scholar, or merchant, then travel through a war-torn kingdom while pursuing quests and personal objectives. The game combines interactive-fiction choices with tactical combat, trading, exploration, and character development. Goods, ships, crews, and townhouses provide ways to build wealth and influence. Hundreds of quests and locations support different approaches, including fighting, sorcery, bribery, theft, and investigation. Players can form alliances, make enemies, join a temple, or remain independent. Ironman mode makes decisions permanent and ends a character’s journey upon death.
