Evolvation is a multiplayer arena space shooter built around fast matches and class-based combat.
Players choose among five ship classes: Highspeed, Fighter, Stealth, Support, and Tank. Each class has a distinct special ability that affects play. The Hangar provides an upgrade system for customizing spaceships, with thousands of possible combinations. Multiplayer games can be hosted or joined quickly, and experience points grant additional perks. The game is intended for short sessions as well as play with friends, without requiring extended hours to keep up. Evolvation was created by Eric Ruts and Jacob Kooijman in Amsterdam and remains under heavy development.
