Our take on Eventide Matter
Instead of treating mining as a separate gathering activity, the game connects it to construction under threat. Materials feed a layered portal project, while research and equipment upgrades support progress against enemies pursuing the unfinished creation.
What is Eventide Matter?
Eventide Matter is a two-dimensional space-mining adventure centered on constructing a Phase Gate for a civilization nearing extinction.
Gather six distinct materials and turn them into advanced components, then investigate a technology tree containing dozens of permanent improvements. Approximately ten module categories can be obtained and upgraded, such as lasers, thrusters, tractor beams, drones, and shields. The portal takes shape gradually across several detailed layers. Crystalline creatures chase the player and attempt to wreck the construction as the player’s home universe deteriorates. The goal is to finish the gate and establish an escape passage for the civilization’s surviving members.
