Our take on Edgar's Room
The game makes darkness and listening central to navigation, replacing the usual emphasis on seeing threats and surroundings. It also varies puzzle placement between games and adds a declining sanity level to the escape structure.
What is Edgar's Room?
Edgar’s Room is a first-person horror game set in a mansion with many rooms to explore.
Much of the house is pitch black, so players listen for signs of Edgar’s presence and act accordingly while moving from room to room. Each game places four puzzles randomly around the house. Solving them enables an escape route, but the owner may catch the player during the search. Sanity decreases the longer the player remains inside. Gameplay includes timed runs, environmental sounds, atmospheric presentation, and collectible items. A VR version is in development.
