The defining detail is its fixed-camera presentation paired with tank controls, framing exploration, puzzles, and backtracking in a classic survival-horror structure.
What is Echoes of the Living?
Set in a European town during 1996, this survival horror game follows a mysterious fog, a spreading sickness, and the return of the dead.
Laurel Reaves, a police officer investigating her father's fate, and Liam Oakwood, a former Special Forces member searching for his fiancée, become connected as they investigate the disaster and seek a way out. Exploration uses fixed camera angles, tank controls, and fully 3D environments. Players solve puzzles, manage limited inventory space, revisit locations, and use save rooms with item storage. The game includes multiple character viewpoints, zombies, mutated fauna, other creatures, weapons and equipment upgrades, and unlockable content.
