Our take on The Night Of The Inquisitor
The evasion-focused design gives up the option of defeating the central pursuer: encounters rely on running, hiding, or briefly stunning him, and he returns afterward.
What is The Night Of The Inquisitor?
After an ancient rosary places Emilia in a strange cursed world, she searches for her lost mother while moving through the Inquisitor’s realm.
She investigates rooms, gathers objects, uncovers hidden information, creates access to previously blocked areas, works through puzzles, and releases the spirits of those the Inquisitor harmed. During encounters with him, Emilia must flee, conceal herself, or briefly immobilize him with Holy Water. The Inquisitor cannot be killed and eventually resumes the chase.
The game presents a compact survival-horror story with visual and musical influences from VHS-era and PS1 titles, alongside late-1990s genre styling and a soundtrack shaped by Giallo cinema. Movement follows classic fixed-direction controls, with a dramatic view positioned behind Emilia and play centered on a game controller.
