Our take on DUST - Post Apocalyptic RPG
The clearest sticking point is character death: a run can end with the survivor gone for good. Currency carries over, but players who expect to keep or restore a character after a mistake may bounce at that point.
What is DUST - Post Apocalyptic RPG?
DUST is a turn-based survival RPG set in a randomly generated post-apocalyptic wasteland.
Players search ruins and settlements for gear, take missions for resources, and explore locations such as ruined cities and underground bunkers. Combat is tactical and turn-based, with choices that can have permanent consequences. Survival systems track hunger, health, sickness, radiation, and virus exposure. Mutants, robots, aliens, raiders, and horror encounters populate the wasteland. When a character dies, that survivor is lost, but currency earned during a run carries over and can unlock new survivors. Survivors can be developed through attributes, skills, and perks. The visual presentation uses real photography with a gritty VHS-inspired look, accompanied by atmospheric audio and an original soundtrack.
