Our take on Dungeon 100
The progression hinge is the boss cycle: after each dragon fight, the character becomes the floor’s boss, and further descent depends on beating past builds. Players who want to keep advancing without confronting their earlier characters may hit a wall at that point.
What is Dungeon 100?
Dungeon 100 is a roguelite that combines ARPG-style character building with autobattler gameplay.
Rather than collecting equipment through repeated grinding, players choose from hundreds of cards and combine their effects to create skills and character builds. Card combinations can produce varied effects, such as a bear that fires flaming arrows or hounds that summon more hounds. Every 15 floors, players face a dragon. Defeating it makes the player the boss of that floor; to descend farther, they must then defeat their past characters. The progression centers on choosing and combining cards, fighting dungeon bosses, and facing earlier builds rather than acquiring gear.
How Dungeon 100 plays
- 01Card-based builds
- Hundreds of cards can be combined to create skills with effects such as flaming-arrow attacks or hounds that summon additional hounds.
- 02Boss replacement
- A dragon appears every 15 floors, and defeating it makes the player the boss who must be beaten to continue.
- 03Past character fights
- Progress through the dungeon requires defeating earlier versions of the player's characters.
