Our take on Memoryland Prelude
Its defining constraint is built into the setting: Memoryland is a place people enter knowing they cannot return, while Cal arrives without knowing how he got there.
What is Memoryland Prelude?
Cal wakes in Memoryland without knowing how he arrived.
After a glitch in the simulation makes its memories hostile, he explores the surreal world to retrace his past and seek a way out. The story follows Cal and the characters he encounters as he investigates what happened. Players collect cards that summon creatures in battle, then develop Cal and his deck to form combos. Exploration through moody environments connects the battles with the search for clues about Memoryland. Its premise also sets a constraint: people who enter the world know they cannot return, though Cal arrives without understanding how he got there.
