Our take on Dry Drowning
The game departs from conventional visual novels by making investigation a central structure, with flashback casework, psychological interrogations, and more than 150 branches. Its detective story also ties moral decisions to political conditions, technology, the environment, and character survival.
What is Dry Drowning?
Investigate a series of macabre murders in Nova Polemos, a futuristic dystopian city shaped by political and social turmoil.
The story follows Mordred Foley, a troubled private detective, and his assistant as they pursue a killer inspired by Greek mythology. Players examine clues, solve riddles, question ambiguous characters, and revisit earlier cases through the detective’s flashbacks. Decisions affect political conditions, technology, the environment, encounters with non-player characters, and which characters survive. The game contains more than 150 story branches and three distinct endings. A Living Nightmares system supports psychological interrogations, while more than 20 hours of content cover the available paths. The soundtrack contains more than 50 tracks and over two hours of music.
