Our take on Drums of War
The drum-control concept gives movement and attacks a strong musical focus, but that choice narrows the interaction model. Players spend much of the game using beat-based inputs instead of a broader set of conventional movement and combat controls.
What is Drums of War?
Drums of War is a VR action adventure game built around drum-based movement and combat.
Players control a giant orc by striking a virtual drum kit to move through fantasy environments. Rhythm-based hits can trigger fireballs and cannon attacks, while movement and combat support 360-degree freedom. The story campaign contains 15 levels featuring enemies such as dwarves, flaming skeletons, and demonic succubi. War Drum Hero adds a score-focused mode with ongoing waves of dwarves, while Jukebox mode provides freestyle drumming with the game’s music and scenery. Skulls collected during play unlock skins. The soundtrack combines original compositions with licensed tracks from Warbringer, Wind Rose, and Exmortus.
