ActionIs DreadHaunt worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Small groups who want asymmetrical multiplayer with hidden possession
- Solo players who want first-person paranormal investigation and cooperative options
- Players who want repeated matches with changing ghosts and card modifiers
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a long, fully developed single-player campaign may hit the wall at the campaign's limited story glimpse.
- Players who dislike uncertainty between teammates may bounce off the hidden-possession structure in Deception and Versus mode.
- Players looking for a purely competitive shooter may not find the investigation and containment focus suitable.
- Players who want every character, ghost, and mode immediately available may dislike multiplayer XP unlocking.
Our take on DreadHaunt
The bounce point arrives in Deception and Versus mode, where the team must account for a hidden possessed player rather than simply fight visible threats. Players who want transparent objectives or dependable teammates may lose interest once suspicion becomes the central system.
What is DreadHaunt?
Join a covert containment agency investigating a haunted island near Jakarta.
In the third-person Deception and Versus mode, 3–5 players act as agents or hide a possessed player among the team. Ghost Hunting mode supports 1–5 players in first-person cooperative play, including solo sessions. A single-player campaign provides a glimpse of the story. Players explore the island, secure anomalous entities and cursed objects, use specialized ghost-hunting equipment, and modify game conditions through cards affecting stats, weather, and ghost appearances. Character customization includes skins and emotes. Multiplayer progression can unlock season content, including characters, ghosts, and modes, while cross-play with console players is available.
