Our take on DownTheDead
Rather than centering on open arenas or match-based firefights, DownTheDead places its shooter action within a chapter-based horror story. Exploration, puzzle solving, and revelations about the character’s past sit alongside weapon-based combat, while difficulty shifts in response to performance.
What is DownTheDead?
DownTheDead is a first-person zombie horror shooter set inside a government research facility after an outbreak.
Players wake in an unfamiliar room without memories of their past or the facility’s purpose, then explore its chapters to uncover the research and the events behind the outbreak. Finding and equipping weapons is part of the effort to survive threats encountered in the facility. Puzzles and other challenges must be completed to progress, while the story reveals more about the player character’s background. A difficulty system adjusts to player performance.
